Slip of the Tong
« on: August 11, 2009, 01:04:05 PM »
First off, does anyone know if the Brigade Tong Gang will work for the Old West period?

And second, I was suprised to see Chinatown San Franciso civilians over at the Obelisk site. Does anyone know how these stack up size wise to the Old West usual suspects? And when are those due to be released? The site was in German so I couldn't tell.

Thought I'd check for you on the Obelisk page, the Chinatown civilians seem already to be available, so no need to wait. And it seems you missed the (admittedly very small) language switch below the log-in menu on the right side of the page, so you could avoid language problems the next time.
I hope this helps  :)

That's correct.  Available and in English if you click on the tiny flag.  (And terrific service.)

I purchased them some time ago.  Only painted the Tong Gang so far.

No comparison shots but the bases are same size as 25mm GW slottas -  if that helps.

Here's a link to another post regarding these figures.  If you scroll down a bit, there are a couple of pics that I took comparing them to Old Glory minis.

Hey Todd, IIRC the Brigade tong gang was fetured in one of the GW LOTOW books; and looking at them I would have though that they should have sufficed - seeing as they were intended for the 1840's, there wouldnt be anything too 'modern' on them, and they are nearly all in traditional costume
