Yup...too much schnapps in his coco!

Moving on last batch now.  I have a pair of LMG’s, an HMG, medic and flamethrower team.  The pak 40 crew are almost finished but I don’t have all the paints I need for the gun yet....

Holiday over and back into the thick of it at work.  No painted minis at the mo but I did get a few fence/hedges done using Renedra palisade fencing and rubberised horse hair.

This represents two packs of fencing so I’ve ordered two more.  I will play with distressing some of the fence in the next batch.

I’ve opted for an autumnal look with wind blown leaves caught up in the evergreen hedge.  I can sprinkle on snow for colder games.

Thanks all, it’s a start!

However, here is my main present to myself.....resin crack!  Thank you Total Battle Minis!

I was daft, didn’t see the farm set already had a lean to and ordered a second!  I can disguise it a bit to make the second farmstead with the half timbered house and stables.

I love the rubber mat it comes on...a little big / stretched so will need to infill the gaps but as I’m assuming they use the same material for their roads....that will be my next purchase.  The nice chaps also put in a little freebie statue!

So, lots of painting to be done, including that nifty tractor I’ve had for years and done nothing with.

I’ve also started making more forest stands so plenty to be getting on with!

I'm off to get a hot cup of tea. Looking at all this wintery stuff is making me cold.

Those TBM kits are a bit lovely! I particularly like the base-piece too  :)

Nice work on the fencing too. Keeping to an Autumn theme makes the terrain more usable too. You can have the odd bit of white-scatter to make the table colder, or mix in a bit more greenery for earlier in the season  :D

Indeed, that was my thinking.   Would be a shame to plaster everything in snow and render it unusable for other uses.

I do need to get a bit more creative.  I’m even wondering WHAT could look more Autumnal than a pumpkin farm! Lol.  I built this for B&B games.....and I know the world record for the largest pumpkin was achieved in Belgium 2016!

Bought a pack of Putkha seeds from hobbycraft and painted them orange!  Simples.

Great stuff. Were pumpkins commonly eaten in the 40s in Europe? I only ask because in the UK they were virtually unknown. Even now it's pretty much Halloween only.

They came to Europe many years before the conflict...and Germans certainly love them now....I can’t say.  But this is a game....if it wasn’t pumpkins it could equally be another Autumn crop!  Anyway, they will do until we can build more scenery.

We are having a play through the rules tomorrow.  Just been setting up the sign of the times shelter ready for the morning.
