Wargames Atlantic to sell the Eisenkern Stormtroopers
« on: September 02, 2020, 06:54:55 PM »
Not sure anyone had seen this - at least I didn't see a post about it.

The Eisenkern appear ready to relaunch at Wargames Atlantic.  I was never able to get these guys, but searched for them relentlessly.

Sweet. I only managed to snag one box of these at Gen Con a few years back. Always meant to get more.

Great News.  Although between participating in the Kickstarter and the various sales, I've got more than enough Dreamforge kits for the next decade.

Looking at the pictures on the site the figures have been redesigned rather than just re-released.

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

WGF/Dreamforge ones

Sort of. A little confusing so bare with me.

Wargames Factory and Dreamforge used the same plastics company/factory to produce their miniatures. Wargames Factory somehow ran into trouble which resulted in the factory taking control of the company, or at least the name and the products that they had the tooling for etc. They continued to produce Dreamforge.

The people who were behind Wargames Factory before it was taken over then formed Defiance Games. So Dreamforge were never Wargames Factory as such. Just produced by the same factory.

There are more than a few similarities between some of the style and marketing approaches to them though (Defiance Games and Wargames Atlantic).

I'm just glad to get a chance to finally get them - they were always sold out every I looked.  And I love their style.  Excited to see the new stuff, too.

Overrall, I think Wargames Atlantic is doing a pretty good job of building product.  Their skeletons look top notch.  Haven't seen the sci-fi stuff in person, but hear it's good.

Does anyone else think these will make great Death Troopers for Star wars?

I'm also eyeing up the Raumjager as proxies for some Rebels.

I'm considering them as Brotherhood of Steel for Fallout.

Good news, I got a few of these to use as not-Storm Troopers but could never find the heavy weapons to round them out.

The Panzerjagers look interesting too - female heads!

The troops box has been redesigned, as pointed out, they've been slimmed down a little.  The contents of the basic sprue has also been remixed a bit with some female heads and other weapons not originally included.

Any thoughts on how they would sit with the Imperial Assault figures?

I think I'd use them as near future police or private security. Won't need many lol
cheers

I have some of the older sculpts, will end up using them as a heavy variant of these newer models.

I'm interested to see what else they make as 28mm generic sci fi was lacking but its starting to grow exponentially in places. I've hard a Neo-Sov box is in the works, and I'm hoping they'll bring out the Aliens dreamforge teased ages back.
