Gorgeous work. I thought it was a metal figure at first  ;)

Strongly approve of this, looking forward to seeing where you take it next!

Good work on the knight, suitably grim-looking for the blend of backgrounds

 :)

Cheers folks, really appreciate the comments.

On instagram I've had a fair few questions about the method, so thought this might be useful:

This is how they're painted before the oil wash/paste stage

Lighting's a bit harsh but those pale areas are thin blasts from thr airbrush. Next I'll slather on the thick oil wash in a couple of colours, push it around and clean it off, trying to maintain the zenith effect then finally after sealing apply the sharp highlights. Very quick all in all, if you discount the various drying stages.

This chap is finished, and his friendly good boi!

I wanted to build a little photo backdrop, but that'll be a while

a mishmash of parts, I'm really glad I found a use for the shovel arms that wasn't just a peasant. The shading on the pack on the rear is a biit subtler than it looks, lighting blew it out a little.

This new painting method is a little tricker on softer shapes (like dogs) but it still works I think.

Really happy with these two, come out nicely.

Superb work!

I have been feverishly converting and painting various Frostgrave models for a number of warbands, and so I recognize many of the bits and parts you're using.

It's a really a hard-plastic renaissance we enjoying right now! Between North Star, Fire Forge, and Wargames Atlantic, we really have a lot to choose from and it's great!

Yet still I want more!!!

Keep sharing!

Haha cheers - plenty more to come, this new painting method has totally changed my output!

I know what you mean - I'm currently kitbashing, chopping and changing a selection from I think 11 different kits:

Perry WoTR infantry, Light Cavalry and European Mercenaries, HYW French infantry
Frostgrave Wizards I&II, Knights and Barbarians
Fireforge Medieval archers, Peasants and Zombies

Plus a load of GW bits I have. Pretty amazing really. Scale and proportion isn't alway an exact match but easy to solve with some cunning tweaking.

Plenty more to come!!

Excellent work, the drab green works really well!

Cheers!

Well, here's something new for this thread! No rhyme or reason to this group really, I just grabbed up a group of minis that I thought went together well and would be handy as thugs or civilians or similar.

I love the two Perry sculpts from Foundry though the moulds were showing their age - I basically had to carve the pointing guy from raw pewter! :)

These would make perfect miniatures for FORBIDDEN PSALM, which is a skirmish game set in the Mörk Borg universe.

Welcome back! A really smashing project. It’s a pity that those oldies didn’t get the live rhey deserved during casting. Anyway, you did a great job on them!
