I am going to try varnish next, nobody else seems to be replying to this thread?

I don't know what it is you don't like about it. Is it that the posters aren't sitting flat on the textured walls?

Yep the posters look like bits of paper stuck on the rough surface, don't know how to make them look realistic

Well, I guess you've got the two choices of either taking off the posters and smoothing the bit of wall they're going on, or taking off the posters and sticking them to some flat surface (balsa, card, whatever) and then sticking them back on. Both options require you to remove the posters though. For signs I'd use option 2 and for ordinary paper posters I'd use option 1.

I’d be inclined to thin a little paint to match the edges and paint over the white paper edges...that will make them look a bit more flush with the wall.

You could then dilute a little Agrax earthshade (GW) and give a thin wash to them to grub them up a bit?

As in RL they wouldn't be posters but painted enamel on tin plate and screwed to the wall....I think they look fine . lol

I have changed the title for this thread
As I am going to use this thread to record my efforts in chain of command
I have had my head turned by this game after following various threads and a few blogs on the subject
I have bought the main rules and the 1940 blitzkrieg book. Now just to convert my rapid fire armies to CoC

Garage looks great Colin, including the signs.

Yeah, I think I’d have been inclined to slather them under several layers of neat PVA so they dry shiny and look a bit like enamel signs. But they look perfectly good as they are. Nice work  8)

It will as I already own most of the stuff I would need for this period, although most of it is unpainted or very bad paint jobs from 20-30 years ago
My stuff is also organised for rapid fire and also late war
So First off I need to make some of the patrol markers and some jump off points
Patrol markers I down loaded from the Tactical painters Blog
Printed out and stuck to cheap poker chips, four each for German and British
Had to make jump off points with bits from my bits box

4 British JOP

4 Germen JOP
