A storage solution
« on: September 26, 2020, 04:05:29 AM »

Over the decades I have obtained boxes and bins to store my minis in as I have painted them. This has lead to a very odd assortment of containers. Finally fed up with the disorganized mess I decided to fix the problem once and for all by buying a mass of specially sized boxes that meet my exact needs.  https://antonswargame.blogspot.com/2020/09/operation-barracks-blox.html

I'm not done (by far) transferring the minis into the new boxes but I am much happier already!

That’s great. Look like you’ve saved quite a bit of space there.

Nice. I like a good bit of organisation - shame I struggle to maintain it normally.

Are you going to have them stacked that high when they are on the shelves? The reason for asking is I have a lot of figures in box files, stacked about 4 high, and getting the one out from the bottom is always a bit tricky, in sliding it out without dropping the rest of the stack down.

Neat idea.

To hold my single washer based figures I use 800 count Baseball card boxes which are about 13” omg x 3” wide x 2.5” high lined with 1” wide magnetic strips and then divided with 1/2” high Mattboard strips.

For 25mm element based figures I use cut down Xerox boxes reinforced with extra cardboard on the inside of the walls and bottom. Strips of foamcore are hot glued across the width to separate the bases.
