Don's Napoleonic Persians
« on: October 15, 2020, 11:16:38 AM »
Maybe this topic is on the wrong board...cause I will go with small battallions with these... ;D :o :)
Perhaps more suited with Pikes, Muskets and flaoucy shirts.

Anyway....I was looking throu me leadpile and came a cross a little box full of Napo Persians.
I grabbed a brush and started splashing paint on them...in my typical speed paintingn style... lol

First 12 man battlion took me around 5 hours.

Really love the miniatures. Exxcellent casting, no flesh. Brilliant.

Cheers,
Don

You know... the Russo-Persian War (1804-1813) was a serious episode during the Napoleonic Wars... one which some historians say was a contributing factor in Napoleon's decision to attack Russia.

It's nice to see someone actually doing minis from this war, and yours look great!  :-*

Well there's something I've never seen before, and that doesn't happen very often in the hobby anymore, they look great.

Thanx gentlemen.... ;)

Here is another Battllion.
This time in red Shirts. In the earl phase of the westernisation the battallions had different colours...wow... :o

The Black Hussar Site has some good reources about flags and uniforms.

And the Battllions in Green and Yellow. Sadly without flags...have to add them.... ;)

Cheers,
Don

Certainly a very colourful army, great to see your work on such a neglected force. :)

They're Black Hussar miniatures (ex-Westfalia, as Kawe sold his entire Napoleonic range to Sascha a few years ago) :
