VSF Steam Tank
« on: October 21, 2020, 09:55:14 AM »
Started my first vehicle, inspired by North Star Magazine

Tank from Ironclad Miniatures
https://www.ironcladminiatures.co.uk/ourshop/prod_1020482-Steam04.html

Ironclad have some marvelous vehicles, I have a few purchased ready to start and more on order

Figure from North Star Steampunk range Bobbies with Static Truncheons
https://www.northstarfigures.com/prod.php?prod=13795

Base coated, I do like a heavy nuln oil wash which I'll lighten back towards the original colour
I'm going to cut the feet off the figure as I feel he stands too high out of the turret

I should make more time for the things I love to do

Looks good so far  8)

Might I suggest keeping all your VSF stuff to the one thread, it'll make it easier to go back and reference earlier figures, paintjobs etc  :)
cheers

Looking good so far. A good suggestion from Oshiro to keep all this goodness in one thread, much easier to enjoy it in its entirety as it develops . :)

Nice to see the tank without the wheels. Might make a good cabin for an aeronef. Wheel pegs look like they'd snip off easily.

Cool. Love that Bobby especially, though I'm not entirely sure what it is that makes me like it so much. There are some lovely figures in the North Star Steampunk section.  I have a few myself. I bought them as boxed sets bundled under the IHMN heading. Didn't know you could buy them separately  (maybe you couldn't at the time). Might haved saved myself a bit of cash as I didn't need absolutely all of them. Oh well, doesn't matter, they are still worth having. :)

Tank Update: Wheels added and I've shortened the constable so he sits lower in the turret, it works better for me, he's footless now  lol

Great work on your steam tank, your choice of commander is good.
You can’t go wrong with VSF stuff from Ironclad Miniatures!

Very nice work!

Shortening the figure was a good idea, otherwise one might surmise he was standing on the gunners head.
