You mean somebody does make some bad ones? i've never seen any at all, good or bad. If there are some out there could you point me in their direction?

I hate being pedantic (ha, no I don't, you know that!), but if the Jazz Age range wanders into WW1 is it misnamed? Do people include WW1 in the term "Jazz Age?" I wouldn't actually know, I can't stand Jazz and know very little about it.  :)

Nope as the range was designed to cover Colonial conflicts WW1 to WW2. Added to the fact that Empress Miniatures created the term (well a customer suggested it actually) we can choose whatever we want to put in it.................so stop being pedantic  ;)

Plynkes, I think it was another term used to refer to the Roaring Twenties but I'm not sure how much it was used outside of America at the time? I remember looking it up years ago as I thought it was an intriguing term for a period.

Attributed to F Scott Fitzgerald and the 1920s as Elk101 says.

You are indeed correct, at least according to wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jazz_Age

"The Jazz Age was a period in the 1920s and 1930s in which jazz music and dance styles rapidly gained nationwide popularity in the United States."

It also looks like American author F. Scott Fitzgerald is widely credited with coining the term, first using it in his 1922 short story collection titled Tales of the Jazz Age, not the Empress Miniatures customer  lol

Well, we'll let them off, as the figures are so nice. Would be insane to turn one's nose up at a range because of minor quibbles about the name. :)

I wonder if those Zanussi bods still make washing machines out there in the Libyan desert? The adverts were all over the telly in the 80s. These days not so much. The whole point of the 1917 campaign against them was to secure a good supply of washing machines for the army in Palestine. Allenby's troops got through a LOT of laundry. And how do you think T.E. Lawrence kept his robes that dazzling white? The Appliance of Science, that's how.

(Sorry.)
Edited for spelling mistakes.

My turn to be pedantic. Jazz Age was indeed coined by numerous others

but not Jazz Age Imperialism as far as I have ever seen.

However would be interested if you can put those three words together?

Yes, Jazz Age Imperialism isn't something I've seen either. Plynkes seemed to be asking about the "Jazz Age" in general though, hence my reply.
