aircav:
Here's my BEF guide.

I use the following basic recipe for BEF:
Uniform: Basecoat of Vallejo leather brown, Vallejo english uniform & add vallejo Khaki to English uniform to highlight.
Webbing: base English uniform, add Khaki as above, then final highlight of pure Khaki.
Helmets: can be either green, brown, Khaki Drab or grey.
Helmet covers: Base leather brown, drybrush khaki, drybrush beige.
Wood: Vallejo Hull red, dark fleshtone, skaven brown
Leather jerkins: base of Citadel bestial brown & dark flesh mix, highlight with bestial brown, Final highlight of Bestial brown & Vallejo orange brown mix.
Officers Tan Leather: All Vallejo - Mahogany Brown base, highlight with Red Leather, then panzer aces light rust final highlight of Orange Brown (Thanks to Mark from Over Open Sights for steering me in the right direction to make the recipe)

Thanks Keith for your assistance.

TadPortly:
Any advice out there for painting cavalry?

CORebel:
thanks for the advice on how to paint BEF uniforms

Muskie:
I did a lot of research in recipes, and I'm painting a test figure in Foundry colors right now.  I bought some of the suggested Vallejo colors too and I have a pile of GW paints.  I'll try to post a picture of my sample Canadian when I get it done.

Thanks for the advice.
