Stunningly good!! Victrix are in a different league to other ancient/dark age/medieval plastics in my opinion.

Yes it is  :-* lol

I really like that horse, never mind the riders. Fab all round.
Looking at the incredible dynamism of their recent Napoleonic Polish Lancers set, if this set is half as good, they will be well worth having.
Quite different from my last Norman army (circa 1980, second generation Minifigs, based on the WRG 'Armies and Enemies' series - which I thought were the bees' knees at the time... Ah, the onward march of history... :))

I've already got about 48 Mounted Milites painted up..... do I need more?

You bet!  :D

Very nice  - much better than the Conquest ones I am putting together and painting for a friend.

The only niggle I have had with Victrix so far is that one of the three types of Iberian Light Cavalry horses always had a sink hole in the neck and it varied with which horse half in every pack.

Another preview. Looking like there are going to be lots of options with this set.

EDIT - Text from the post for those who don't use facebook.

'Here we have some renders of the 3rd Norman cavalry figure. It looks very dynamic and has multiple head and weapon arm variants. We are have put a lot of effort into making this set more versatile, so you can use them not just as Normans, but also Spanish and Andalusians. Note the Arabized head with turban and the Adarga shield option often used by the Spanish and their Muslim allies and enemies.

You can use all the heads shown on the previous 2 figures on this figure so there will be plenty of head options in this set.

This will be a 12 figure set with 2 x frames of 6 riders and 3 x frames of 4 horses. We will put quite a few shield options on the horse frame and aim to add in some long heater shields and some round shields as well as the kite and Adaga shields. Tassels that normally adorn Adarga shields are going to be separate objects so this means you can apply a transfer and then glue the tassels on. Or you can vary were the tassels are placed, or you can decorate the horse tack with the tassels to make them look more Islamic. Some extra sword scabbards will be done for Islamic variants.
This will be one of our most dynamic sets to date. Keep your eyes peeled for more news.'

These are just awesome.  Loving the Spanish options.  I don’t need any more figures for this period but...
