Wonderful looking figures.  I foresee a whole bunch of "Last Stand" diorama bases with those.

According to Iron Duke these won’t be available until the New Year. They are not designed to be used for Diorama purposes (however you can if you wish) but for wargaming. So unlikely anything else will be released regarding period Dioramas.

Well you just have to, don't you?

Don't play games set in that region at all as a rule (of any period), but I still want them. Would make a great LPL entry, if I still went in for that sort of thing.

I hope these beauties will be of similar size as the ones from Studio Miniatures (Where Paul Hicks also did a few). Otherwise I will be sitting there with two Gandamaks  :D

I'm in the same boat as you, Traveller.  Actually I'll be sitting there with THREE GANDAMAKS, since before the Studio Minis versions were released I bought a bunch of old school Wargames Foundry c.1840 "China" British infantry and ACW Union Infantry in greatcoats -- both ranges sculpted by the Perrys -- and did head-swap conversions to create my own Winter of 1841-42 "Retreat From Kabul to Jugdulluk/Gandamak" army.  Then I got a set of the Perry Miniatures "Retreat From Moscow" French to convert into British Inf. and RHA leader & character figures for the same campaign; and THEN the Studio Minis versions.  Too far ahead of the times for my own good!  If I was sane I wouldn't get any of these, but... they just look too good to pass up.

I remember seeing that on your blog, Mad Guru, and bought some of those Foundry figures to copy you. Never got around to doing the conversions, though. Those poor guys are still sittting in a draw somewhere, waiting very patiently. :)

I think those greatcoated Union boys are destined to become US Colored Infantry at the Battle of Nashville now, courtesy of some Perry separate heads.

I hope there will be some more vanilla infantry in greatcoats and covered shakos, firing line or marching would be fine. I have the Studio Miniatures chaps and the marching poses are rather flat and not the best sculpts.

I have a heap of painted and unpainted Canadians and Hunter Patriots for the Canadian Rebellions to fight.

The quality of the sculpting in general, the sensitivity of poise in the miniatures, the desperation...... Paul Hicks you are a genius  :-*

Ha ha, I also have the Foundry bell top British in my little force. We are all swimming in the same pond  :D
