Mantic Mars Attacks Scenery
« on: March 11, 2015, 09:04:20 AM »
I thought you chaps might like to see what I've done with some of the modular Mars Attacks scenery from Mantic. These intact kits aren't available via retail yet (I was a kickstarter backer) but should be in the shop before too much longer. These three buildings are the result of two scenery packs, some plasticard and some other bits and bobs - I could have stretched the panels a bit further if I hadn't built a roof for the fast food restaurant out of the tiles and then covered it over.

There are some build shots on my photobucket.

Excellent. I really like those, esp the fast food place.

Definitely be getting some of that when it comes out.

Where's Gus to protect his chicken shop?

I love what you've done with these. I sadly wasn't in on the KS campaign (I wish I had been). I'll definitely have to pick up some un-ruined sprues when they become available!

Well the rent is one thing but the protection money can end up costing an arm and a leg. ;)

Here's the rest of the neighbourhood:-

I have painted up some more scenery from the range to clutter up the streets and back alleys.

This first lot is mostly resin items which were sold as part of the kickstarter campaign:-

And the second lot contains items from the hard plastic accessory sprue which comes with the scenery bundles:-

Hi Maccwar,

Could you tell me the dimensions of one of the basic shop-front pieces, please.

The tiles are based on a 3 inch grid system (once the connectors are in place). Without connectors each piece is roughly 74mm to a side.

The kits are now available in the Mantic store:-
