Great to see another LAFer doing the Challenge.
It’s a good way to encourage me to the painting desk over the winter. I rarely top 500 points though.
My impression is that the point of the whole challenge to encourage people to get their minis painted- it does a good job of that!

I made some progress on my Saga Norman warband: eight Warriors with crossbows.

Outstanding work on the terrain and the docks and boats. I'd love to hear how you did the weathering of the boats, which look particularly good.

Also, the ripple effect on that clear water is very convincing. How did you achieve that?

Thank you Hammers. The weathering of the boats was just done with a selection of warm greys in patches and streaks where I thought there would be wear and tear on the hulls. On the sharp edges I used the flat of the brush. The paints I used were mostly Scale 75 Brown Grey, Cote D'Arms Roan (almost identical to GW's Pallid Flesh), GW's Dawnstone and Golden High Flow Acrylic Neutral Grey. The insides of the boats were painted with GW's Steel Legion Drab, dry brushed very lightly with GW's Zandri Dust(?) and thin lines were painted using Golden High Flow Acrylic Sienna (quite orange'ish) and Golden High Flow Acrylic Sepia which is very much like Agrax Earthshade in tone but more like ink in density as opposed to a wash or glaze.

My latest submission to the AHPC is a hero and two baddies from Blackstone Fortress. With all the bits on them the BF miniatures are fairly time consuming to paint.

The BF minis it takes me a bit to get going on them but once started I enjoy painting them.

The hero is Taddeus the Purifier. I found him quite intimidating to paint- like a lot of GW minis there is ridiculous amounts of... "detail" (for lack of a better word). I really tried to up my painting game with this figure; he took quite a bit of time.

I am glad he is done; I hope the others are not as time consuming.

Nice painting Codsticker.

I’ll gate crash this thread with my first AHPC entry this time out: Iroquois for FIW/AWI. This project will probably get a forum thread when it’s a bit further along.

That’s my only entry so far, but I’ve four ready in the wings and working on two more. I got stuck doing the Chambers out of order  lol

I remember seeing those Phyllion; very nice work! I love the painting and the basing.

Lol, I started on the Chambers (see my boat and dock post on the first page) and then realised I didn't really have anything for the other chambers (although UR-025 from Blackstone Fortress do for the Golem's Haunt). ::)

During the Analogue Hobby Painting Challenge I ventured into a new area for me in miniature gaming- the Old West. 6 figures painted up and a Perry Miniatures building.

Each one of my figures is named after a character from song.

The Perry Miniatures North American Store went together well and was fun to paint.

Nice work on the figures.  The weathering on the barn is perfect.

Thank you very much syrinx0. I really enjoyed painting the store. I already have a colour scheme for the farmhouse when I get it.

The Analogue Hobby Painting Challenge XI has come to a close and on Thursday I posted my final entry: 8 Crusader Miniatures Dark Ages Irish.

Wonderful figures to paint.
