Recomendations for mid-priced paintbrushes?

I opened my paintbox after more than 5 years sitting on top of a cupboard to prep for a project, and my trusty set of brushes don't look as good as they did.

What are peoples' recommendations for a good mid-priced brush range?

I'm UK-based, in possession of an Amazon gift card from Christmas and my next project is 12mm, not a scale I've painted before.

Rosemary Series 33 short handle Kolinsky sable brushes, good quality brushes, reasonable price and UK based.
I switched from W&N Series 7 to Rosemary Series 33 about 6 years ago and don’t regret the move.
I have tried Pro-Arte and Army Painter but prefer Rosemary.

Out of curiosity, what is considered 'mid priced'?

Roubloff master series Kolinsky brushes. Better than W&N and a No2 goes for 7 euro. But even their cheaper series (even the synthetics) are good quality.

Rosemary Series 33 short handle Kolinsky sable brushes, good quality brushes, reasonable price and UK based.

These are good brushes. I paint lots of 10mm, and tend to use sizes 2, 1 and 0.

I'd actually suggest going with some relatively cheap synthetic brushes to start with and get back into things before going for better brushes. While you're getting back into things, you can expect to trash a few brushes and it's easier to end up scrapping some cheaper ones than jumping in at the midlevel ones.

I've had some great cheap synthetics that have lasted forever with some basic maintenance.

The kolinsky and other natural hair brushes don't work as well with a lot of techniques and paints.

I’ve never understood the slavish devotion amongst so many wargames figure painters to W&N 7 series. They’re ridiculously expensive, and in my experience, no better than any other good quality sable hair brushes. I think it’s just a branding thing. They’ve acquired a reputation which is self-perpetuating. People are told they are the best, and so those who have bought into that brand then display confirmation bias and  dutifully repeat the ‘these are the best thing since sliced bread’ mantra - even though they’re merely one good quality product amongst many.

I've tried quite a few other brands of sable brushes, and none hold their points as well as the W&N series 7. Figure painting is tough on brushes. So I find they actually work out cheaper as I have to replace them less often.

Brushes are a regular subject here and it often comes down to what suits your painting style, products used and personal preferences.

I recently listened to the YouTube interview with Kevin Dallimore and Kevin says that when tasked to find a range of brushes for Foundry, he went to Pro-Arte and they just rebranded for him.
Based on that, I ordered so Pro-Arte Kolinsky Sable brushes - if they are good enough for KD, they are more than good enough for me!
Initially I could not get on with them, handle and bristles are longer than the Rosemary or W&N I am used to. Handle was easily sorted to get the right balance by cutting it back to the same length as Rosemary or W&N, the bristle length cannot be changed so for now I have put them back in their box and continue with the Rosemary brushes.
No doubt sometime in the future I will use them but not for now.

I also purchased a couple of Army Painter brushes from my local gaming store. No problem with the triangular handle but again the longer bristles caused me problems.i tend to use them just for any lining that is needed.

So, for me, it is very much a personal thing.

At the risk of switching tracks here, has anybody seen (or even tried) these brushes from Warlord Games?

Seems like a nifty idea to me; I am kinda clumsy so being able to replace the bristle end looks to be a good idea, it seems over-priced for synthetic bristles however.
