Empty 20ml paint pots - UK supplier found.
« on: January 01, 2021, 10:42:09 PM »
I've been scrabbling around trying to find anyone who sells the empty paint pots (especially the lids, which perish much faster than the pots) and finally found someone in the UK who sells them very cheap. It's a company called Ampula, who sells empty containers wholesale and the 20ml pots are under 'Plastic pots with screw lid' (for some reason). Postage is pricey but even taking this into account, I got 50 pots for £16, which was much cheaper than I found on eBay or Amazon. They're progressively cheaper per unit the more you buy (and presumably the postage is cheaper in comparison as well).

Here's the link, in case anyone in the UK is also hunting - https://ampulla.co.uk/shop/plastic/plastic-jars-with-screw-lids/20ml-plastic-paint-pot-push-lid/

Very handy! I usually save my Tamiya flat base pots,or buy similar things from airbrush suppliers, but 50 pots! You can’t go wrong :)

Yeah I try to save my pots too and a lot of them are cleaned and re-labelled old Foundry or Cote D'Arms pots, but eventually they perish over the years. At 18p per pot, I figured a few spares wouldn't go amiss!

I’ve found the GW larger ink bottles to be useful although the flip lid they have can be annoying if it doesn’t stay open.
cheers
