For the New Year's weekend, I decided to actually sit down and build out most of the MDF buildings I have accumulated over the past few years, and this was most of the result. The buildings are a combination of Sarissa and TT Combat, and this initial primer run went through four rattle cans of flat white enamel primer.
Now I will be doing through and patching/fixing up some of the individual models, then I will re-primer where the patches occur (I primer first to make it easier to SEE where I need to do fixes). Then I will use an airbrush with some cheap hobby paints for initial base colors for each building, and then use regular brushes and some watercolor brush pens for details and weathering. Should be enough to keep me busy for a good while.
The Sarissa buildings were very nice to assemble, and seem to use a thinner MDF than the TT Combat buildings. The TT Combat buildings had a number of errors in the cuts and/or online instructions. That said, there were some interesting and creative buildings in the TT Combat line so I am not all that displeased.
They will be very useful in my group's Bolt Action and 7TV games if I manage to get them all painted in this lifetime!
