A major score at Historicon for the Prof.
« on: July 24, 2006, 04:15:02 PM »
I had starting making hte deal prior to leaving for the show.  I had posted to Bartertown looking for some of the RAFM CoC figures.

Below is what I picked up:

for a close up view tp show the quality of the paint job:

I got the entire lot for $200.00 cash, thats for every single character pack, all painted except the Scotland yard trio, that works out to under 4 dollars a figure.  I just need to rebase everything.

NOW... before you get mad at me, to make things even with the whole Karma issue, I DIDNT get the RAFM Cthulhu model for 10 dollars at the flea market     that would have been a good score

I like the RAFM CoC minis very much. I have some of them still blistered but even more are missing.
Well, I hope you also got one of the cars for that price, because directly from RAFM the whole lot should be somewhat around $150.
"I'd like to send this letter to the Prussian consulate in Siam by aeromail. Am I too late for the 4:30 autogyro?"
"Uh, I better look in the manual... This book must be out of date. I don't see "Prussia", "Siam" or "autogyro"...

Looks like you have a few Grenadier CoC in the back row as well.

Withhunter,
I didnt get a car with the lot, but considering that I technically only paid a dollar per figure for the paint job I cant complain.  I was getting ready to buy a bunch of things from RAFM anyway, so this just saved me alot of time and money

Lead,
thanks for pointing that out.  I was wondering what those 5 figures are.

Witchheimer,
I'll try not to compress the photos.  I didnt realise they looked so bad. thanks for pointing that out

Alright, I just see that a bit different. For me a painted figure is always less worth than a unpainted new one. I always remove the paint because I don't like owning figures painted by somebody else.

I always loved the 'three stage character' idea.  I wish other mini companies would do some of that.

Great buy!
