To get my mind on happier subjects - I finished some more Conquistadores.  Enjoy!

Mark, very nice.  I have bought some Eureka Portuguese "Age of Exploration" figures to use in a mate's "Frostgrave Ghost Archipelago" campaign. They looked excellent on the website, your comments make me wonder if they will be quite as nice "in the metal". I understand they are en route from Eureka UK so I will hopefully find out in a  day or two.

How do Eureka match size-wise to Outpost? The Outpost seem more squat/chunkier?

Thanks.

Those ones seem to have disproportionate heads and hands ala GW old-style, but I once bought them a conquistador and it looked fine. Can post a pic here if you want

Yes please for a picture.  As well as Portuguese for Frostgrave I was lulled into buying some Aztecs.  Fantasy isn't exactly my "thing" but i can see this growing into a more "mainstream historical" gaming period.  For some reason lost in the midst of time I have quite a few books on the subject.

Frankly I preferred the OWS stuff as though it was chunkier it was better sculpted and will work better visually with my Wargames Foundry stuff as well as my OWS Aztecs.  The Eureka stuff had worse mold lines and the legs were way too scrawny on the crossbowmen.  It may be that they are older sculpts and the mold is starting to go bad, as the officers were ok.  Eureka is less expensive, but I must say the Mark Copplestone stuff from Wargames Foundry is my favorite so far.  See below:

Here you go:

I have yet to paint it but I think it can be seen that it's size and proportions are ok
