AT-43 rights holder?
« on: January 23, 2021, 05:19:16 PM »
Does anyone know who the current, if any, rights holder to the AT-43 line? I am going to build some expansions for Renegade Scout to handle the AT-43 factions and want to possibly include some old AT-43 art. So I need to track down permissions.

Searching online was less than useless

No idea.

Although I did hear, years back, that the moulds were left outside in a pile to rust away behind the factory in China, since the new IP holder had no interest in them (only in Confrontation apparently)...

Last I heard, the rights were with Cyanide Studio (French software/game developer) and they were trying to sell them. They only wanted the Confrontation range.

You can still get the starter box (Damocles?) and some of the figures on Ebay  from China so somebody has some masters out there .

I think it's old stock. Bought some figures and starter sets and they came in their original boxes (not reprinted, they smelled like old paper). But there's some Aliexpress sellers offering one of the rare Red Blok mechs in pvc...

Paolo Parente said that the molds were destroyed (and some of them weren't even usable anymore due to the way they were stored).

Wish has some sets which include a couple of the red block mechs as well. 2 of the smaller suit type ones and two walker types with a bunch of other odd looking mechs, a couple of which look like not 40k Dreadnoughts. The bundle is about £35 inc postage.

Yeah, those are the same ones I bought on Aliexpress. Recast in some kind of PVC plastic :\
