Typing replies or adding new topics
« on: September 06, 2009, 10:20:47 PM »
Has anybody else noticed this? When I'm replying to a post, opening a new topic or adding a series of picture links, if I happen to go beyond the space available, the field tends to bounce up and down while I'm typing and the line I'm working on is hidden below the box.  I have to drag the arrow up and down to see whether I've made any mistakes.  It's really bad if I'm trying to paste a series of links to my pictures, often ending up with them being out of the desired order because I can't see what I'm doing.

I know what you mean. Strangely though this has only occurred on our other computer. It is really annoying if I want to type a lengthy post.

Happening to me, too. I expect it's all the sinning we've been doing lately.
I told you so. You damned fools.

Must be differing religions lol.

It must be Internet Explorer cocking up, because that's what is on our other computer. I use FireFox on this one.

Don't think so. I'm on I.E. and haven't yet experienced this problem.

It started very recently, sometimes I have the same problem.
I cannot tell whom we have to blame or the way to rectify it.
but I can propose a way to overcome it for those who want to post lengthy posts:

write your post as a doc document and copy it here.

Also happening to me since I've installed IE8. Try it with IE8 compatibility mode, see attachment. It works very well.
