Painted: Cultists and beasts NEW *CULT LEADER*
« on: October 03, 2009, 09:59:32 PM »

These were all painted pretty quick using thin glazes in my usual sloppy way. I find the resulting transitions between shades are a lot softer than the other techniques I tend to use for my tabletop figures. These will all be a part of a Halloween event (if I can get everything done in time) at the local club. The idea is a bunch of no-good cultists have taken over a small bayou town deep in the wilds of Louisiana. The good townfolk have largely been corrupted and possessed, and dark rituals echo ominously through the night across the swamp in order to bring unknowable horrors into our world. Will a plucky sheriff, his bumbling deputy, a local hunter and his family, and a couple snobby university yanks be able to uncover the plot and stop it in time?

Up next I have more unknowable beasts and The Unknowable Horror the cultists intend to conjure.

Very nice, love the colour you have used on the robes. I am busily painting Cthulhu figs to playtest Cosmic Horror the Artizan Cultists arrived this week so may pinch this colour, what paint did you use?

Very vibrant colors. I like your color choice alot. Beats the black or red that I was planning on painting mine (someday). :D

Those cultists are great - awesome colour scheme on the robes!

And that beast... ack! Potential insanity in every picture - who makes it?

It's Horror of Tzeentch from GW's warhammer line.  Nice job on it and the cultists.  :)

With my cult leader now done I can focus on the beasties more. It has been said any times by many different people, but Pulp Figures are just a treat to paint.

Extremely creepy.  Particularly like the white sash and the golden acoutrements.
