The first miniatures I painted since september last year. Sad, I know.



The miniatures are from Renegade Miniatures, some with swapped heads from West Wind.

I like how the Tartan turned out, though to my dismay I had to discover that even in World War 1, the Scottish regiments wore brown kilts  :freak:

The bases are not finished, I'll add some static grass once their are varnished. I'll post some pictures with better lighting once this is done.

No, Highland soldiers wore khaki aprons or covers to hide the kilt's colours when in the field. Your lot obviously weren't issued them.

Thanks all!

Gundamentalist, after the tartans were halfway done, I did a Google picture search, which came up with only khaki soldiers, thus my hasty conclusion. I shall use your explanation when someones asks about the pretty colours, and how disgustingly historically inaccurate they are  :lol:
