Twas ever so. I'm forever painting things and thinking "Wow! This is the best-painted miniature I've ever done!" and then after taking a photo of it going "Oh, no it isn't. It's actually quite shit." I find it rather disheartening when this happens (and it happens a lot to me). I guess you just have to be a man about it, pick yourself up and vow to do better next time.

Agreed, it is ever the way of the true artiste  ;)

I think it happens to all of us

wonder if the prof ever thinks like that

... pinned between Green Knight and young Fastolfrus

I'm sure many otherwise normal chaps would envy you this, but it's a strange incentive to paint Samurai  :?

You've done a jolly good job of them as usual and as someone who's normally not much of a Dixon fan, I have to admit they look very good for 20 year old figures - even with the very seasonal pumpkin heads.

Svennn - the old pumpkin heads clearly bring out the best in you  ;)

I've delved to the very deepest depths of the lead mountain and come up with all sorts of interesting bits of lead I'd completely forgotten I owned (why did I buy all that 1/300th scale sci-fi??!) but I can't find my little bag of Dixon ninjas and samurai.
I know I had them. I reckon the kids have had 'em away. I shall have to turn out their toyboxes...

These are painted really well. Very sweet.

I stumbled on some Kingsford Miniatures samurai recently and was very impressed with the quality. Have you tried any of them?
