Once again, really lovely work on those Incas, oxiana. Please keep up going, it’s very inspiring!

Another set of buildings are the Monolith ones however strict caution is advised at Steve seems to ahve been off the scene for some time and I think there were issues over sales and orders a year or so ago as he travels between here and the US. They are nice bits of kit though

Actually, these are the ones I was thinking of - I'm not really enough of a Geezer to inscribe all those bricks (and if the Spanish couldn't even work out how the Incas did their stonework with only copper tools, I' damned if I'm going to take it on!)

I did have a very speedy order from Monolith in September (about 48 hours turnaround, but from Jim rather than Steve) but yes, the caveats for that company are well known.

I have always had good service form Steve/Jim and no complaints, he even helped Neil with the Aztec game with buildings, however I got a little flak on the Border Reiver yahoo group a while back which I co -moderated with him.

Good to know however they are still trading, might cvhnace my arm later this year myself then :D

I've got one of those and a jolly nice model it is too and was fairly cheap too from memory.(obviously not as nice as a scratchbuilt one, particularly when its been made by the master of Scottish sock painting ;) ::))

You have to be mental on the Overlord scale to do that.

Is this a formal scale?

Are only slight-insane projects meansured in microOverlords, whilst totally insane projects get megaOverlords? Or perhaps a fractional scale, in which Overlord himself naturally scores a 1.0, whlist saner individuals would get scores like 0.5 Overlord?

Inquiring minds want to know!  lol

Also, very cool Inca, can't wait to see the Conquistadors!

As a coherent SI derived unit can be expressed in SI base units with no numerical factor other than the number 1 your reasoning is correct.

It is defined thus:
The Overlord (Ol) is the intensity, in a given direction, of a source that emits high density brickwork of variable frequency (continue until it hertz) and that has a radiant intensity in that direction of 1.5x106 watt (the hell did he do that for) per forum.
:D
Apologies to Paul for subverting his thread.  Excellent painting and very productive.  8)

Oh, I thought the SI scale was 'Silent Invader', not 'Slightly Insane'...

Come to think of it, what's the difference?  ::)

:o Oh dear, what have I revealed?  :)

(looks over shoulder then desperately trys to get the thread back on topic)

Continues to be a great project Oxiana, with (for me anyways) a big Apocalypto-ish vibe, and I wait with eager anticipation for the jungle terrain!  8)

Hot off the painting desk (and leading the charge for the Conquistador invasion), a fighting' priest:

These Eureka conquistadors are really lovely sculpts, great fun to paint! The rest of the command group will be up later in the week, I'm taking my time with these figures as they deserve a much better paint job than I was managing with having a dozen Incas on the go at any one time.

This is a common misconception. 1 MicroOverlord is not a scale, it is a Gauge.
