Thanks to this thread I just ordered 12 of the Marx future cars. At 2 euros a piece that's a great price IMO 8)

You can add me to the long list of people swamping that Ebay seller for those cars too...

Great looking game there, just like in the PC game. Great tip about the cars, just what I have been looking for. Naturally I ordered a few... I can see loads of uses for these even outside Fallout. You could do Star Wars speeders or Genestealer cult vehicles for Necormunda/40K etc. ;D

Indeed, I picked up a couple of packs of the Blue (Gray was sold out).  So my question is how did you get them that lovely color of rust.  I am guessing some properly colored primer and a wash, but if you have the spray can still handy I would love to know what brand and color you used.
Thanks

Alright to answer some questions.  The overpass and roads were built with gatorboard and dowels, and MDF/hardboard basing.  I went with gatorboard as Foamboard will not really hold the cracks, though I’m sure it could if one was inclined to try.  I wasn’t . The basic road width is 3” for each lane so the entire road is 7” to include two small side lanes.  The rubble is cut up pink foam.   Both the overpass, rubble, and roads are covered in textured paint to add detail.   The rebar is simply paper clips or whatever wire I had on hand.  Really nothing a lot of planning won’t accomplish.

To answer the most asked question, the cars are from an old toy company called Marx.  They made them in the 50’s and reissued them in the 90’s.  I got my lot on EBay.  Try searching for future Marx cars or something similar.  Some may pop-up.  I got the idea of a fellow gamer, so I can’t take credit.  But they are damn perfect though.

Most of the minis were a mix of EM4, Hasslefree, Warzone Bauhuas (Enclave), Heresy Ghouls, Copplestone, Killer B Geezers, and the little girl with Cthulhu from the Frothers Sanitarium competition.

I think that answers most of the questions.  I can give more specifics if people wish.

Joey

Any chance you might give more details on how you got the pavement done they look awesome Im hoping to try this if youd be willing to share your secrets thanks
