28mm Western Partisans with Heavy Weapons
« on: November 12, 2009, 02:36:27 PM »
Anyone know of a manufacturer of Partisams with LMGs, HMGs and Mortars?  I need to make up a unit for RofE.

Thanks

Westwind have quite a few partisans in their Berlin or Bust range not sure on mortars or HMGs though?

Foundry have a very few partizans

Blacktree have a good few but I wouldnt recommend their sales record

But you do have an untapped resource n the lovely ranges of Spanish civil war figures from Empress, Force of Arms and some form North Star they should have what you want

a lot of Musketeer VBCW would go for partisans too

for one second I thought "Western" was meant to be cowboys as partisans.... ;D

I was lucky and ordered quite a few figures from Blacktree just before all the problems started . I really like them but have not gotten around to painting any yet . I think they are 2nd in line to be looked at . ::) (maybe)

The Musketeer 'interwar' range has a few figures that are suitably western. I also believe Paul Hicks is also working on a civvy crew for the Vickers Gun.

A few of the Empress/Anglian figures from their SCW range would be dandy as they're armed with DP's. Same as the Musketeer figs (really nice as well).
The BTD figs have PPsh's and some have DP's too. Not bad overall, little dated perhaps, but not that bad.
Using bits from all the ranges for my own VBCW and SCW collections.
