It was all done in styrene sheet and strip. These two pics may give you a better idea. The cloth on the panda was done with procreate epoxy putty.

The way I did it was - cut a platform/base a suitable size for your beast and crew, add some skirting at a slight angle and then cut end pieces both to support and make it look more substantial and then add whatever pieces you need for the crew. Mine was based on ancient Chinese chariots although it looks just like a platform with railings.

Svenn you really are quite a talented model maker.  That Panda is fantastic and i love how you have painted the crew!  Can't wait to see a photograph of it in action!  Will it be part of the same force that your Chinese airship belongs too?
