I was going to get some of these guys' brethren, the 'Widowmakers', for VSF Russians. The Widowmakers are snipers that arguably look even more Vostroyan; but I didn't know about these guys with the rifles, thought the Winter Guard only came with axes and hand cannons.

The size issue could well be a problem for VSF, it's a good point. I think these guys would probably tower a long way over my Ironclad British line infantry.

They do, this is the Winterguard Rifle Corps, new unit that's not out yet.
So many projects..... so little time.......

I'm doubtful about the shoulder pads - they just don't look Victorian to me.
Epaulettes perhaps (and probably not on Russians), but not these.

Makes them look more like American football players than Russians.

I would visualise the coat being more like a cossack style, with loops on the front but plain shoulders, possibly a tall collar.

To be fair, these guys' shoulderpads are quite subtle by Warmachine standards! Although I've seen loads of pictures of WM minis I've seen few in the flesh, and none next to other companies' lines. How much bigger than 28mm are we talking here?

They're 32mm approx. Same size as Wyrd if you've seen those.

If you want furry hatted, great coat russians, these are still best (imho), you could always give them funky guns.

From experience, (I have a pretty decent Khador army), Privateer Press figures are closer to 30mm most of the time, making them hard to match with figures from other ranges.
