New lamps for me
« on: November 29, 2009, 01:46:11 AM »
I bought a new lighting set up a couple of days ago and I'm very happy with it so I wrote a rave review :)

I have been using a similar set up, from the same dealer, for a couple of years now. Best single thing I ever did with regard painting and modelling.

Why do you paint in front of Ming the Merciless's Microwave oven?

Pretty sure that's a computer tower, mate. You never know around LAF, though.  :D

I have one of these swing-arm lamps with a daylight-balanced 100-watt-equiv. CFL in it, which does double duty between my computer desk and painting desk. I'd really like a 2nd one with an identical bulb in it for the other side of my painting desk, and should start looking soon.

Still another month of increasing damnable darkness before Solstice, too. Ick. Need moar light!

More to the point, what's the modelling application for the two small jars of Marmite just below it ?

Looks great.
I just bought a lamp from them for an xmas present for my brother and after testing I will be getting one for myself next time I have some cash spare.
Even though I had some problems with the first lamp their customer service was outstanding and very help full.
I would recommend this company for anyone after Lamps.

...Eh dare I ask how much?

Also does it burn paper?  lol Let me explain... I'm looking for a new lamp for my desk, which also doubles up as my modeling/painting table so it would need to be multifunctional i.e. it'd need not to burn paper or cause blindness as i study into the wee hours of the morning...

Cheers
Andy
