My name is Eric, and I am a 40 year old wargamer/rpg:er from Sweden, who fought my first battle in 1973 with the old Airfix WWII figures. Oh by the way, I have over 200 books on uniforms and weapons from the Stone Age to the Vietnam war, so if I can be of any assistance just ask and I'll try to find the info.

Cheers
Eric

Välkommen, Eric! Which area are you from?

Hello,

I suppose that having just joined presenting myself would be nice. I am Arrigo, 32 years old and  I usually live in italy and I am italian...
I am an archeologist and now I am doing a master in war studies in london and I am a wargamer from aged (almost 20 years). Large collection of board and miniatures games from ancients to near future. At the moment I am dwelling in WW1 (mainly palestine, I love the light horse, but I am also tempted by belleau wood), Boxer rebellion (my gradn-grand father was with the  east asian cruiser squadron of the italian royal navy) and interwar china, plus I have an ever increasing interest and collection of WWII miniatrues, for eastern western and pacific theater and I am tempted by Africa...

Arrigo

Welcome to London  :)
Are you studying at Kings College in The Strand?
I took a unit in War Studies at Kings as part of my history degree back in the early 1980s. I studied under Professor Brian Bond, who was quite a famous military historian at the time. Used to lecture at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, and so on... I wonder if he's still around!

Anyway, if you want to come out to the south of London for a game some time, let me know!

Hope you will get to go to some great wargames shows while you are here. SELWG is pretty good. It's on at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in a couple of weeks time. And of course Salute in April. If you are still in London then, you shouldn't miss that!

Greetings,

I'm Patrick Clapham.  Curently I'm a student dwelling in the blasted and forbidden vally of New England (aka the Pioneer Valley).  I'm an old hand at Call of Cthulhu and other Pulpy roleplaying games.

Inbetween my classes and work I'm painting a mix of Copplestone and Artisan Pulp figures for a Hollow Earth Expedition game, as well as the ocasional Mythos Beastie.

I've just recently discovered the joy of using Simple Green to strip my painted figures, so some of my older pieces from my 10+ years of painting are getting a facelift.

Hi, my name is David from London Ontario Canada. I started off in the hobby with games workshop, and am still a big fan of Bloodbowl. I have drifted into Doctor Who minis, but recently my love of the Sharpe and Flashman books have taken over and I have started painting Victorian figs.  Love the forum!
