Huron Painting Guide
« on: December 21, 2009, 02:50:36 PM »
The painting guide for our recently released Huron warriors is on the website.

This pic shows two differing paint schemes used on the same figure (actually, 2 castings of the same figure, otherwise that would be silly  lol ).

Very useful guides, thank you.  One thing though...have you considered providing them as downloadable pdf's? My computer is in a different room to my models and it would be great to be able to print them out rather than having to take notes or run back and forth.

lol  And I thought my painting methods were odd  ;)

PDFs are a good idea though, especially if there are pics with intricate detailing, so you can enlarge and print the tricky bit.

Usefull for us half-blind old farts  lol

Actually chaps, I hade been thinking about PDFs, they do however, seem to be popular with some and hated by others.
If you're having problems printing them out Archangel1, maybe you should try copying and pasting into a Word document first - that way you could enlarge the pics to suit  :D
If that's no help, pm me or e-mail me on the website and I could send you a PDF or J-peg.  8)

Cheers guys,

Lance

Unless you offer PDFs as an option, perhaps a "downloads" section ?

Jolly handy little guides there.

Did you do FIW reenactment ?

That might be a good idea, I'll have to check up on my site stuff to see how to upload PDFs.  :)

Several times came close to joining FIW re-enactment, but never quite got the time - yet, I'm Colonel of my ECW unit, plus occasionally serve with the American Eagles for ACW. I do a lot of shooting of everything from matchlocks to 7.62mm, among my muskets are a couple of 1728s and a Brown Bess, and am a bit of a stickler for authenticity. I'm keen to try to capture the essence of a period, whatever sort of involvement.
