Weird science in the Back of beyond background
« on: December 31, 2009, 12:57:27 PM »
This is a silly idea - but it will be this year (2010) project.

I love the Warmachine robots, but I dislike their setting and their game… dilemma.
So I thought in my quite disturbed brain  o_o that I could use those for some kind of 1920's weird science in the BoB period. The action could take place in Central asia or China with great vilains, mad scientist, pulp heroes, colonial troops and natives… Weirdo project but I assume it.

I was thinking of using Triumph and tragedy rule set with little amendement and all the funny minis I could find and of course some great stuff from Copplestone castings.

Here are some of my first robots for the very beginning of the project.

Weird science indeed: put them together in one room and let's see what happens  :D

I think your miniatures fit quite good together!

I thought the idea sounded a little too way out to be honest but the pictures of the ones you have done so far are fantastic :-* :-*

You really ought to post a couple on this thread for the folks too idle to follow your links.

Thanks guys - it sounded a bit foolish too me to in the first time. But I was quite sure that heavy steel robots attacking armoured train or shot at by biplan airplane can be very funny indeed.

I can't but pictures on the forum for the moment but I will put new informations on the subject soon in this topic.

I just need now to find a lot of new minis and - to paint them …  8)

Looking very nice, really works across a VSF through to early 20th century pulp. Love your avartar pic, a kind of VSF English Gentleman Indiana Jones/ Bruce Campbell! :D
