Dixon Ashigaru with arquebus (up-dated 8-1-10)
« on: January 06, 2010, 03:36:45 PM »
Nothing fancy, just tabletop quality but its gets me off the mark for 2010 and finally gives my samurai some arquebus (cant believe I have never painted any before now)

May put decals on the helmets to match the sashimono I did recently??

Up to your usual highstandards Bago old fruit. ;D

You've got to love those old Dixon cabbage head samurai, I still have a soft spot for them twenty + years after their release.  :)

A great way to kick off the painting year, splendid stuff.  :)

Can those sculpts really be 20 years old? That suddenly makes me feel a bit creaky. Never mind modern moans about companies not putting photos of their figures on their websites  - remember when you had to glean your info from line drawings? I used to love those old Dixon catalogues, just wish I'd had the pocket money back then!  lol

Indeed... a group shot will soon be in order.

As for me...  I run as fast as I can from even attempting to paint little Japanese Samurai dudes!

Well done!

Don't mock - Redoubt still do precisely the same thing.

Mind boggling really, in this day and age.

Nice painting Svennn.

Very nice.

I am thinking that as my second clan I will take some Dixon (first one is Perry). I have several ACW dixons and Love them.
