As some of you already know proper miniatures for the Rhodesian Bush War is a void that no 28mm manufacturer to date has filled. In fact the only actual Rhodesian miniatures out there right now are the Liberation Miniatures 20mm range. Thus a few weeks back I submitted a request to Eureka Miniature's "100 club" program for a set of Rhodesian Light Infantry figures. (The terrorist forces for that war are not a problem, really. Many lines out there have rag tag guys with AKs that would work nicely)
I got a reply from Eureka soon after submitting the request. Interestingly in this email I was informed that one of their sculptors was "very keen" to work on the project. I'm not sure if this is just something that Eureka tells all those who make "100 club" submissions, but it at least sounds promising. I'm also pretty excited that some person or persons have bumped the "requested number" to 50.
Surely there are enough folks on the various forums who are interested enough to commit to to buying a few of these things. I'm going to submit my own commitment for about 50 of them (more than I would really need, but what the hell) this weekend. So who is with me in making this happen? We need to push the requested number to at least 150 and get at least 10 distinct orders to get them started. I recently contacted Eureka and was told the registered buyers are sitting at five. We are half way there!
