Cheers for the headsup on the rules download - will have to paint my warbands up all the quicker as I wanted to try out SOBH rules as well!

Some nice eye candy in this thread, and on your blog. I can't look at those Titanosaurs without grinning! Nabbing the free rules now.

Yeah, I'd probably use a mix of harlequin models, Grendel and Grenadier ones.

Not a big fan of the Grendel Elves or Barbarians, the dwarves are okay and the orcs are okay, bu tbetter than the dwarves.

Their warmachines and resin monsters are amazing though. :D

Hi!

The barbarian and elven infantry models are really showing their age I'm afraid and I tend to proxy them with some of the companies already mentioned miniatures.

Theres some really nice resin miniatures though which are great fun, even if they are a tad blocky. The sheer size of the Titanosaur miniatures makes them really stand out on the tabletop!

Heres a size comparison of the Titanosaur at the rear, Necrosaur, Lesser Goblin Wartower, an old Citadel savage orc infantry figure and a Citadel goblin:

I've still got two orc wartowers sat on my paint table from six months ago which I need to finish! It might just be the size of the models but it can bee quite a challenge to paint them to completion as its not like painting a tank which can be done fairly quickly!

I'm thinking of adding similar banners to my titanosaur as its supposed to be my Khans personal transport so it should really look the part!

Agh, I don't care if they are blocky!
I am a bloomin' Flintloque Gamer/sculptor/painter/modeller/driveller!

Yeah, they are showing their age, but even then it's not the sculptor, it's just the nature of them. They don't 'look' like what I would want them to. Not because they are bad sculpts, I just like skinny elves and hardarse barbarians.  ;)

Hi!

Theres been some updates with the Leviathan game setting! Essentially theres a 10mm scale mass battle version of the game in development! Further details can be found on my blog along with a request for questions for me to ask John Robertson when I interview him next month!

To be honest the new scale is perfect for a game involving large monsers, steam tanks and assorted other goodies!

Heres a link to the blog:

All the best!

Had a look at your blog - sounds interesting - keep getting tempted by 10mm...

Does this mean the 28mm line of minis will be phased out? Wouldn't mind one of them there Titanosaurs before they become extinct!  >:D

Any ideas when we might see the 10mm stuff?

I doubt it!

I think it's cool that they are doing a new game, but silly to change the scale and not 'finish' the 28mm one first. Just my tuppence.

As Steve Blease said on your blog, I hope they keep the basing the same as Warmaster and other popular 10mm fanatsy mass-battle games.

Hi!

From what I can gather the miniatures will be available by late summer as its currently early playtesting but I will be badgering them for concept art and photos of the actual miniatures as soon as possible!

I can see the basing being a bit of an issue and will be asking John as part of my interview why they decided to go for that style rather than the warmaster one.

Its a new company thats producing the 10mm stuff and Scotia Grendel still hold the rights to the 28mm scale game so with any luck there might even be some new releases for the classic edition!

The background of the new game itself lends itself to large scale battles in the 10mm scale, but theres also an interesting element based on the renaissance writers of the background which would make for a really interesting and visually appealing skirmish game in 28mm scale too!

Im actually trying to get hold of Neil Dunlop, the original writer of the rulebook to see if he has any of the draft versions of the Earthpower supplement, a points calculator, or any other useful gubbins that I can develop for the classic game!

All the best!

Always loved those old beasties, you've done them justice too. Clearly there are many ways to go old school and I'm loving them all.
