That first one looks like the race car of the armored car world.

I'm glad to see that he's doing these BoB vehicles, because it suggests continued interest in the theme.  I hope he comes out with some new minis for it.

Man, those are sweet! The prices seem to be stiff, but not at all unreasonable, given they look rather nice sizewise, and the level of detail... rivetting, I say!

Do the tires on the Lancia have treads? They look oddly smooth?

To be fair, we're doing a Putilov-Garford, too.

I'll be in for all of them, apart from the Lancia (which I've got).  The proper sizing is excellent as wll mine are smaller scale than this.

Heh:)

Yes, very bad timing on our part. I'm usually pretty good at spotting these things, or getting information about them, so as not to replicate other endeavours, however... We might move on to something else in the interim. Will let you know when I know something.

The Copplestone piece is certainly nice:)

I love the Putilov-Garford. I might have to get back to painting more BoB stuff  ;)

Sorry Doc, looks like you've been beaten to the punch. Exact your revenge by producing some cavalry for the 1670s, like we were promised  by Mark almost a year ago.  ;)

Thos armoured cars are very nice. Still it will be at least June or July before I invest in them so if Tobi's one comes out at a reaonable price point in the interim, who knows?

Or, Doc, you could exact your revenge by releasing a less expensive version of it, or even just a version that's more easily available here in the USA.

There were actually two versions of the Garford.  One for the Navy, and one for the Army.  The biggest difference was armor thickness.  I'm sure there were other difference, by picture refs are hard to come by.

Maybe make some of the hatches able to open up for some crew.  And, perhaps some enterprising sailors managed to outfit some larger naval guns on the thing.

Doc, why not switch gears and produce a different design of gun car for another manufacturer's RCW armored train?  ;) That way my White army could use their gun cars and my Reds yours. Or vice versa. Be nice to have more variability to go with that great armored locomotive.

Or if you're stuck on A/Cs, do a Russo-Balt, I don't think anyone has made one of those yet.

Anybody know how many of those Mgebrov-Renault Armored cars were produced, of either version?

I read somewhere that they actually did convert a few Austin Garfords to run on rails, and essentially be an armored train/rail car.

Slap some alternate rail wheels on Tobi's model, and add a few gun alternatives, you'll have a great little kit!
