He was a favorite of mine from the time I saw him in "First Men in the Moon."  I was just a kid when it came out but that movie started me on the road to loving what is now called VSF.  He will be greatly missed.

Just read the NY Times article linked in the original post and it turns out he was in a nursing home in my and Bulshott's home town of Poole - small world.

RIP Mr Jeffries.
