I really like the rich colors of the first entry. Nice work Hammers

@Hammers, great idea and painting. Was the that link to the Welsh Gypsy writer of any use?

@Plynkes, you really didn't know?

Sorry, does sound vague re-reading it. I meant about the Gypsies in Wales.

I never said that. What I said was that they don't look like no Gypsies I ever saw in Wales. Last time I ran into Welsh Gypsies I was hitch-hiking to the West Country and trying to get to the Severn Bridge. Two burly lads with tattoos in a white van picked me up in Pontrilas and dropped me off somewhere between Newport and Cardiff. They certainly didn't resemble Hammers' Gypsies, and that's putting it mildly.  :)

Say what you like about travelling people, but they pick up hitchers more often than regular folk. Got lifts from them loads of times.

I think Plynkes meant that I have taken liberties with how they are dressed. I guess mine look like they gotten their costumes from the wardrobe  of 'Carmen' rather than being accurately Welsh. Well, as to that I think Welsh gypsies as a rule stand a bit taller than 28mms to. I just want them to be recognizeable, by stereotypes if necessary, as gypsies.

It wasn't a serious criticism, just a bit of friendly banter. I love them.

@Plynkes, Sorry, I miss-understood. And your spot on about them not being half as bad as some newspapers would have you believe.

@Hammers, They are for VBCW, they HAVE to be stereotypes, ;).

That's correct :
The policewoman is from Black Scorpion and "the boys in blue" are from Black Cat
