All scratch built. I have a Saloon and Livery stable as well for when I want to change the board round a bit

Those look very nice. I like your ground surface. What is that? Also, do the buildings have playable interiors?

The buildings don't have playable interiors unfortunately, these were some of my first attempts at this sort of thing and wanted to keep it quite simple
By ground surface do you mean the board the buildings are on?
If so its just several grades of modelling sand mixed together and then painted with progressively lighter shades

Great looking terrain.  Fantastic scratch builds.   :-*

What did you use for the pillars on the porch of the saloon?

Thanks, yes. I did mean the board the buildings are set on. I wasn't sure if that was one of those textured terrain mats. That came out great. I've currently got mine town on just printed paper ground tiles glued to foamcore. Your board looks worlds better than mine. I think I'm going to have to try your method.

The livery and saloon are very nice. I like the saloon best of all. The louvres on your saloon doors really caught my eye.  :o I don't mean to be a pest but would you mind sharing how you did those doors?

Thanks for the great inspiration pics.

Fantastic, looks very cool.  One question (to go with all of the others you've been asked) what did you use for the water tower?
Smile!  It's not that bad!

The pillars at the front of the saloon are wooden bannister posts meant for a dolls house staircase, picked them up in a hobby shop.

The doors are cut down window shutters from a Miniart 1:35 WW2 building

The water tower as previously mentioned was a spray paint lid with strips of balsa glued round it and the frame was made from balsa wood also, the roof is just a card circle with balsa wood batons

Glad you like

The ground surface going to be hit with a wash? Looks very white, unless its for winter play. Winter is fun because charcters exerting themselves can give away their location behind something from their steamy breath rising :)

The photos have made the surface look a lot whiter than it actually is unfortunately
