Saw some of the pics in WI. Missed the damn TV show, though. They put it on one of those annoying BBC digital channels that I always forget to watch.

I wonder if the show will be shown here too ... since some channel do show BBC shows now-and-then.
I read about this project in WI too, but forgot to check on the Perry-pages.

Thank you for pointing this out. :P

When I am reincarnated, I want to come back as Peter Jackson so I can commission my own range from you and your reincarnated brother. ;-)

We saw the programme on digital (BBC 3 or 4 ?) but that was because we saw the article in WI and watched out for it.
Do the programmes get repeated online anywhere ? I know some of the radio shows are available online. You could always email the BBC and ask if it is going to be repeated.
Interesting programme, the Mafeking model looked very impressive.

I just spotted that Ian Hislop's programme is repeated tonight on BBC2 at 8pm, in case anybody missed it.

Thanks for sharing that, Plynkes. I couldn't see it the first time, because it was on Channel 4 or something and I don't have that on cable, but BBC 2 I do have  :)

Yes, previously it was on one of the BBC digital channels, but tonight it's on the ordinary, old-fashioned kind of telly.

Sorry I didnt tape the programme. I did watch it. The prog was an hour long and the scene with the Perry's Mafeking was used for about two minutes. So you didn't miss much.
It was nice to see it, but the photo feature in WI pretty much covered what you see on TV.

I taped it on a standard British VHS tape if you want it, Dom. Can German video machines and tellies manage them? Don't you chaps on the continent have a different system to us like the Yanks do?

I heard somewhere that French DVDs (despite having the same region code) and video tapes won't work on the Brit system. Anybody know the truth of the matter?

As has already been said, the Perry diorama is a tiny part of the show, so you may be a little disappointed with it. You will see more of it looking at the pictures posted on the net and in Wargames Illustrated. On the other hand it is a very interesting programme in itself. I rather enjoyed it. I also left the tape running and caught the Peter Snow documentary on Stalingrad too.

After that seems to be an episode of 'Desperate Housewives'. I have no idea what that is doing there, but Eva Longoria is quite nice, don't you think?

Anyway, send me a PM with your address if you still want it, and I'll post it off to you. Don't worry about the P&P cost, this is a Plynkes Foundation special free offer.
