I've been doing some WW1-SW stuff for some time now. Here's my gallery:

Artizan has some great robots that could work as stormtroopers, where it not that they're bigger than human-sized.

Hei area23,

nice stuff, I like it  :)

Especially the Silberpfeil.

Hope to see some more of your minis. Will you do also some planes.
For my '3po I will use the new Reaper.Robot, I think.

And today I received my Tusken Raiders, the "Sanwar" from Ironclad.

Keep on

I'm loving the SW conversions for WW2, very inspiring indeed.

Thanks!
I've got a good sized Fokker and a spad. Toys that need painting up, from this brand whose name I forgot that have ww1 airplanes that fit 28mm.

Now, to get a Tie fighter style ww1 bi-plane...

These might be of some interest to you, designwise.
Not mine, but done for a custom imaginary toyshow.

One thought might be to reposition the hexagonal wings to a top-bottom orientation with supporting struts between, the spherical cockpit then ahead-in front of that assembly.

Having a pusher propeller arrangement would fit nicely into that rework as might smaller scales 'hex wings' (canards) as well.

Hei,

it's been a while but at least today, after being sick, doing stuff with my son, working in the smithy, I found the time to paint.

Not finished quite now, but I'm thinking the black/white-sheme works.

So, WIP pictures of the stormtrooper

What do you think?

By the way:

GOD PÅSKE

Heisan,

at least I've managed to take some pics of the finished Stormtroopers.

So here they are, the boys from the
"501te Sturmtruppeneinheit, Von Waders Faust"

The NCO and a Trooper, followed by the other 4 Troopers.

And all together

I hope it was not a to big pain watching them lol

Next will be the BikerScout and the Darktroopers, hopefully ;)

Very nice.

On a side note: why not spice up the '1942' theme with some Imperial pin-up/propaganda posters?

Well as you're starting it up again.

Artizan Sturmbattalion troopers (;)) would make for better stormies. Also don't think that gloveless hands work, if you paint them as gloves you could add a little square of white on the back of the hand, (in keeping with the stormtroopers they're based on).

Be good to see how this now develops.

Was thinking about (if you mean the Sturmbattalion Zorn minis), but didn't want to have the ordinary Troops wearing Greatcoats.

Will keep the Greatcoat theme to the Snowtroopers ;)

Will think about the gloves.

Right now I'm greenstuffing a little on my Lea and a TieFighter Pilot, also 2 more "501st" guys.
