Tough choice, this, but I love the way that the exaggerated shading on the zealots - it really captures the feel of the illustrations from the book. Very nicely done!

I agree - the extreme shading on the Zealots looks great, it's interesting and unusual, but well done.  I like it.

I must admit, I don't actually like the exaggerated shading... sorry but it's just me! Wonderful painting other than that.

I've found that the exaggerated, comics-style painting polarizes folks' opinions quite a bit.  Obviously, I'm fond of it, but understand that it's not to everyone's taste.  I think it works particularly well on the tabletop - it allows the details of the miniature to stand out and "pop" when viewed from a table-top distance of 3 to 4 feet.

JMGraham, I can totally understand the thinking behind it and models painted in this way must be very eye catching when they're on the table but I'm afraid it's not my preferred style. They are still wonderfully painted however... I wish I could paint to that standard!

Got my attention...  :-*
