Is there are any rules like that...
« on: March 18, 2010, 07:04:32 AM »
I own some 15mm ancient egypt and dark ages minis (not painted yet) and I want to place them on 20mm round bases. My question is there are any rules for Ancient Egypt, Dark Ages, Middle Ages (I mean pre-gunpowder eras) where I can use minis on single bases? Many some king of skirmish games (no more than 30 units on each side)? It does not matter if it will be magic or not (Better if it is magic. It will be possible to add gods or mythical creatures)

I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP!

Again I would say Songs of Blades and Heroes sounds right up your street.
I don\'t know whether to be a good example or a horrible warning.

How about "Wargods of Aegytus"?, I think by Crocodile Games. If I recall it covers Egypt and Vikings but I can't comment further as I've not played it.

Or

Warhammer Ancients? - use cm instead of inches for 15mm figs?

We use 28 mm miniatures, on single bases, for them we had upgraded the old but ever green Fantasy Warriors rules book (free dowloadable from the Mirliton's web site: http://www.mirliton.it/ ) with many new armies lists, included those for historical-fantasy Ancient Egypt (Khem, Stygia & Lemuria), Dark Ages (Saxons, Normans, ecc.), Middle Ages and many others, like Samurai, Ancient China (Warring States), ecc.
See our Naran's world web site:

Sorry, it is an Italian language site!   :D

Not recommending per se but I always wondered if savage World showdown scales up n down well. I think it would, especially if you reduce everything to cm’s.

Its free and has a troop builder system, so you could give it a spin. Oh and magic etz is no problem, very nice magic system in my opinion.
