I just came across it on TMP, and it´s just awesome: Colour Photographs from the last years of Imperial Russia, taken using colour filters and multiple b&w negatives. Awesome. Just awesome.

I found this by accident the other day looking for old pictures of Buhkara and google came up with a picture of the Emir Of Buhkara 1909? Fantastic what people can do with a pc and old pictures.

The above site had pictures of the inside of a tea factory and the cotton fields amongst other interesting things, all good stuff for getting the atomosphere and setting the scenery for games.

Just a note to people that they still haven't figured out to to colorize B&W photos to this quality.  The original photographer used a special technique at the time by taking multiple shots with different color filters, as he intended the pictures to be color.  We just developed the technology to finally do it.  Other picture from the era will probably never look this good.
