in the foreground are some Miniature Paints, which I believe Magister Militum stock.

My local gaming shop sells Miniature Paints, the range carries some great colours and they're a good texture.

Thanks chaps. The next seven are well underway and I hope to finish them this weekend.

I took the photo in front of one of my paint racks. I group them by colour and it just happened to be the reds. As has been said there are craft paints and Miniature Paints in shot, there are also Humbrols, Poster paints, Foundry (rubbish), CDA etc on there too.

On this chap I just used two craft paints. Base coat of Americana Deep Burgundy followed by Anitas Dark Red. I usually put a final highlight of Inscribe Holly Berry on my reds but thought this chap looked better without. There is some shading with some paynes grey mixed in.

So all craft paints. I like them as they have good pigment and coverage but they are very inconsistent and I lost count a long time ago of bottles bought and then binned as useless. Get a good one though and it lasts forever and they are cheap enough to take the risk.

TC - just four packs from WMMS, I intend to paint them all before buying more in a futile attempt at staying on top of my purchasing/stockpile.

I group by colour too - regardless of make.

I got the first eight of the new batch finished. Apologies for the pics, somehow I managed to photograph them whilst in the mines of Moria it seems

Svennn - I am so with you. Good craft paints are every bit as good as 'hobby' paints, and at a fraction of the price.

Your Mutiny collection's coming on nicely  :)

I have to say, I must try them out at some point again. I just found them quite dusty...  :?

Its just the way the pictures came out. They looked well lit, by sunlight streaming in through the window, when I took the shots. They are actually stood on my BoB terrain boards ::)

Just the Bugler from one of the command packs for now. And Plynkes, if you read this, he has a pugri :D

slightly better shot of some of the last lot of Brits

Using backdrops so there is something else for the camera to focus on seems to work better for me ???

cheers   Svennn
