You know hwy that is? It's to give hollywood a chance to re-make it, move the action to modern times, move the whole thing to New York and make a genaral hash of it!

maybe more VSF than pulp but highly recommended is Le demon des glaces

The film released last week in spain, I have seen it today.
Very inspirational and fun, makes me think in 5th Element (from Besson too) fun adventures, chases, comedy, etc.
Fun but clearly not a great movie as Inception (only to mention a recent good one)

I saw it last weekend. It was a nice pastime but nothing spectacular. No way near Indiana Jones type of quality

Order it on the internet. More of a period comedy than an action-adventure flick. OK, but I doubt I'll ever watch it again.

It was entertaining but I lacks some of the qualities of the comic. Lousie is a bit too Kate Moss skinny to fill the frocks of Adele, who comes across as living up to pre Great War ideals.

The corruption and occultism comes across more as a comedy rather than the dark powers they are in the comic.
