I think you can get away with a lot of supposed 1/43 cars out there. Walk around with a figure in your pocket - you never know what you'll spot where! :)

"Hey, sailor--is that a 28mm figure in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"
Ok, tell me just one more time: _Where_ am i going, and _Why_  am I in this handbasket?

Who's gonna carry around a 28mm Balrog or Dragon in his pocket?  ;)

The 1/43 are a bit large, but perfectly usable IMHO.

But I recently got some Battle Machines (look at Rich's first post, first pis, right-hand car) and they look darn good next to Hasselfree's not-Lara-Croft miniature. But most of the vehicles in that scale fall smaller when you look at things like Semi & trailer, buses, and other larger vehicles. Plus I have not had a lot of luck finding like scale motorcycles out there.

Never underestimate the power of human stupidity.

I use 1/43 almost exclusively for '50's and 60's American cars.  They are available cheap and cars then were huge.  I used to own a '62 chrysler and all 6'2" of me could get in the trunk!  I could also lay down in the back seat without having to bend my knees much.  I couldn't go through the drive-up at the bank, literally, it wasn't a tight squeeze.  I just couldn't get the car between the concrete poles.   ;D
This is my boomstick!

Yes.

And it's always nice to know how many bodies you can fit in a trunk. You know....just in case.   ;)
