private military contractors
« on: March 31, 2010, 11:39:28 AM »

a group of pick-up ridin' low rent PMC's suitable for either afghanistan or iraq... 3 crew per ride - the brief was to show them as mounted or dismounted (hence the third figure to represent the driver) - figures are all by the rather lovely Liberation Miniatures (and a dream to paint) and the pick-ups are 1/72nd toy cars repainted... stowage is a mixture from the spares box....

cheers, rob :hello:

ride #1 - mounted

ride #1 - dismounted

ride #2 - mounted

ride #2 - dismounted

ride #3 - mounted

ride #3 - dismounted

the boys....

Very nice.  Excellent PJs and great basing. :-*
I really like the window/glass effect on the vehicles.  8)

Those are awesome!! I really like everything about them. Now, could you help me out as I am about to "dirty" up my pick ups and other vehicles for Iraq / Afghanistan. Could you give me some tips on how to get such great looking dust / dirt look on tires, edge of vehicle, etc.....PLEASE!!

Thanks in advance.

They're pretty chuffin good!

Love the way the pick-ups have been painted.
