Give them an email, I'm sure they can cast you a set.  ;) A lot of what they used to sell, they can still do on special orders.

I meant AA, I thought you meant the box of wraiths, silly me, never mind!  :)

I agree those skeletons are among the best things GW has ever produced...

Can't say I like them compared to more modern Skellies.
Cool models, great for scenery, but there's something I don't like about them.

Whilst a big fan of the skellies and can confess to owning a fair few of the first skeleton horde box set there are some really nice skellies recently produced by Mantic, got my box set through yesterday 20 including command for £12.50!

Have a really nice characterised 'deadite' look to them and are correctly proportioned, (ie you could believe that they are an endo skeleton and that a body fitted around them, the GW ones are huge!!).

Anyway, back to this thread I've found the skelllie box  set which had the chariot, skull thrower and a few other odds and sods, also the regiment of reknown nightmare legion and my plague cart amongst other things.

Time to raise the dead....again. ;)

Good stuff Vyper. The Mantic ones do look an improvement, as do the recent Skellies from GW. Yeah I always found the old ones too bulky, I tried a Tomb Kings army once and just gave up as they looked so wrong!!!  :(

The skeleton hoard/army skellies were about right. GWs later plastics were huge I'll give you that.
The box set with the chariot and the skull chucker was a lead cast not plastic, they are a bit bulkier but acceptable.
I do have my eye on the mantic ones.

Ok, I'm really impressed with the mantic ones. I was a little underwhelmed by the first mantic elves I saw (a little too skinny), but those skeletons look great!

Like the new-ish GW skellies, the Mantic ones are too specific to their setting for my uses.

The Mantic Skeletons do look good but a little overdressed for my taste (remember Jason and the Argonauts was my touchstone)

but I will no doubt buy some soon for some variety ... the price is very appealing

I was a little undewhelmed by their ghouls though - nice sculpting but only a couple of basic poses to play round with and a bit too dynamic (someone, somewhere referred to them as extras from Michael Jackson's Thriller, which made me laugh)
No dear, they are not toys, they are models
